Extreme wealth of Prince Al-Waleed

Amidst the financial crisis there are those who are not bothered about the majority of the peoples' concern. Among them are the oil tycoons whose networth perpetually increases. The Saudi prince AlWaleed bin Talal is ranked among top 20 richest people in the world for the last decade. Does any body know the real initial source of his income? I mean how did he get so much money to buy a stake in Citi bank in the 1990s? You see all the megazines and news papers are busy telling us how smart he was in his investments but they never tell us that the origin of it are oil money that belonged to the people.

His current yacht Kingdom5kr is 86m and was built in 1980.

The "New Kingdom5KR" is the latest example of AlWaleeds extravagance and his lack of concern for his poor Muslim brothers around the world. The rendering on the left is by Brett Lindsey and the interior design of the Owners Lounge by Andrew Winch Design (AWD) who made it public in January 2006. As expected the renderings alone cost millions. Keep in mind that AWD has also designed the exterior of the New Kingdom 5KR which is not not revealed to the public and is different from Lindsey's design. Meanwhile Lindsey has designed the interior which are more lavish as you can see:

Now Prince Al-Waleed owns the worlds larges collection of large planes for an individual, the list below is based on the descending order of the size of the plane.

1. Airbus A380 which he bought in November 2007.

2. Boeing 747-4J6 which he bought in July 2005. It was rendered by Brett Lindsey and completed at Associated air center in Dallas Love Field.

3. Airbus A340-213 which he bought in April 2000 and sold it to Libyan government in July 2006.

4. Boeing 767 bought in March 2000.

5. Airbus A321-211 bought in September 2007.

6. Raytheon Hawker XP bought in August 2006.

His mile high tower ambitions.

Kingdom Resort-Currently 500,000 sq m in size and next to the diplomatic quarters of Riyadh, it is here that most of the Prince’s guests are entertained. It contains a private zoo and lake.

Kingdom Oasis

Most VIPs visiting the prince are hosted at his fabulous Kingdom Resort. However, this is nothing compared with Kingdom Oasis, currently under construction. This 4 million sq m luxury resort will not be ready until late 2009. It will include a 70,000 sq m lake and a private zoo.
