S Goettsch Partners China Resources Hubei Landmark  China recently signed a deal with kuwait to develop the north of the country as part of its "one belt, one road" initiative that will connect europe to the far east. Kuwait will play a major role in the formation of the new silk road between the east and west. The chinese promised to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in northern kuwait over the next 100 years. There's even talk that china will be allowed to lease two islands in kuwait for 100 years and directly manage and develop them. One of them will be a tourist island and the other will host the largest port in the region. The chinese did something similar in the maldives a couple of years ago. This is all great news for the silk city project. Anyway, this all points to kuwait's silk city project becoming a reality one day.
