Qatar's Amiri extravagance

The Amir of Qatar Sheikh HAMAD Bin Khalifa Al-Thani has the finest and largest collection of private jets. Not the best way to spend the Ummah's resources.

Airbus A340-541 the most expensive on his fleet A7-HHH, added on February 2006.

Airbus A340-211 the most expensive on his fleet A7-HHK, added on 1997.

Boeing747SP-21 which is registered as VP-BAT, added on May 2002.

Airbus A330-203 which is registered as A7-HJJ, added on May 2005.

Airbus A310-203 which is registered as A7-AFE, added on June 2007.

Airbus A320-232 which is registered as A7-AAG, added on July 2002.

Bombardier BD-100-1A10 Challenger 300 which is registered as A7-AAN, added on September 2005.

Note that although these planes have the livery of Qatar airways they are not operated for the public. The proof to support my claim is to simply look at the places these jets are parked- The VIP section of the airport- the places they visit vs. the places Qatar airways operates scheduled flight and the registration- which happens to contain matching letters, something that the Qatari royal values highly.
