The DISRUPT acronym is derived from the English name of the project: "Development of an Innovative and Safe ultralight two-seateR tUrbine helicoPTer”. The project is based on cooperation of three companies, CURTI as the head of development, manufacture and testing of the helicopter, PBS as a collaborator with responsibility for preparation of the drive unit (turbine engine on the basis of TS100 with added alternator) and the German company JUNKERS Profly responsible for the safety and rescue system (emergency parachute). The project was commenced in early 2016 with the total budget of € 4.18 million for the 24 months of its duration.

The purpose of the project is a reliable and safe ultra-light two-seat helicopter with the following basic characteristics:

  • Turbine drive with the power of 150 HP (for the reason of provision of a sufficient performance reserve under all possible combinations of atmospheric conditions)
  • Empty weight of the flying machine up to 300g, and take-off weight up to 450kg
  • Two-hour flight reach
  • Integrated rescue system (parachute)
  • Price up to USD 350 thousand.
