Are EPZ enough to attract FDI?

Why has a smart company like Toyota has chosen to build an assembly plant in Myanmar?

Toyota has invested in Myanmar most likely because the infrastructure is robust, future economic growth potential is great and the possibility to export to the left hand drive market of Western China.

Countries like KSA has yet to succeed in enticing companies like Hyundai to develop a plant/ factory as the Tweet proves from Minister of Economy and Planning: "#SaudiArabia in advance talk with #SouthKorea's automobile manufacturing companies, including #Hyundai, to bring the industry to #Jubail."

If Bangladesh wants to develop then developing hundreds of EPZ isn't enough. The country should invest in team building, skill development, investing and honing local talent- many of whom have built electric and sustainable fuel vehicles - and help them to flourish not only locally but also globally with time as they gain experience. We should focus on developing micro factories concept of manufacturing as pioneered by Gordon Murray- through his UK Government funded research - and his partnership with Yamaha has proven it is viable to have decentralized micro factories producing vehicles instead of a large polluting centralized plant.
