As we know it Helicopters are handy little vehicles, they can hover and they can land in difficult to reach places and in congested areas. However there are a lot of disadvantages with current helicopter design. They are noisy, and they are enormous gas guzzlers (a Bell 206 L4 helicopter travels just 1.47 km per litre - a family car travels 10-13kms per litre.) Nur Majan: first electric car in Oman and one of the most innovative in the world Sultan bin Hamad al Aamri, CEO, Nur Majan, has said his company is still waiting for permission from the Royal Oman Police to manufacture the first electric car in the Arab world to be named “Nur Majan”. He said the company will build its factory in Barka and plans to produce around 120 cars annually at a total cost of RO 16.2 million. The Sultanate of Oman is flooded with when ever it rains. Some year the flash flood is more devastating than the others. This flood occurs because the excessive rain water don't have a place to go. The drains were not constructed when the city was built, this aspect turns the roads into rivers when ever it floods. The problem is that constructing the drains is too expensive and time consuming. So its not the most effective solution to control flash floods. We must look at alternatives. Constructing several small scale lakes in the rain water's path and in valleys will store the excessive rain water and prevent it from spilling and hence flooding. This method is far cheaper than constructing drains by drilling through the layers and layers of hard rock mountains and already built up roads.
